Are you a gear junkie? Love the outdoors? Adrenaline junkie? Or just looking to make some extra dough for knowing peeps in those industries? Then this is for you! Outdoor Adventure Quest is coming to to the Four Corner states and we are looking for adventure-minded peeps to secure sponsorships in AZ, UT, NM & CO. This event pretty much sells itself so just takes using your social network to get brand peeps involved.
Here are the deets:
We’re looking for a remote results-driven sales representative (we call them Adventure Ambassadors) to actively seek out and engage sponsorship prospects in the outdoor active lifestyle community. The successful candidate will be passionate about outdoor activities, have experience in closing sales and/or sponsorships, comfortable with explanations of technology (this is an app based event), be connected to their local community and eager to participate in adventures! All work would be conducted remotely so candidate would need experience being a self-managed team member that is capable of delivering results on a weekly basis.
We currently have a lengthy list of national brands that need to be contacted so a portion of those would be assigned to new Adventure Ambassadors along with their local territory.
Present, promote and sell sponsorship to prospective customers in the following categories: apparel, footwear, gear for all outdoor sports, nutrition/snacks, breweries, outdoor activity providers (excursions in climbing, fishing, horsebackriding, climbing, rafting, etc).
Create a list of potential sponsors in their area and compile their contact info in our team doc
Contact and work with The Chamber and local media (social and print) to spread word about the event and gather business contact info from community experts
Visit Fire, Police and local school board to give all first responders and public school teachers FREE tickets to this event
Reach potential sponsors through emails, phone calls and Adventure Ambassador camping trips to various smaller towns and areas throughout CO, UT, AZ & NM
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Attend or call in for a team meeting once per week for status updates and team brainstorming of sponsorship execution ideas
Keep a Google drive doc updated at least once per week with new contact info from potential sponsors, notes on progress, etc.
Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads
Once sponsorship is agreed upon, Sponsorship Development Manager would send over the sponsorship commitment form and payment link and refer to internal team member to get marketing materials
WHAT ARE YOU SELLING
Sponsorships of this event start at $500 and go up to $25,000. All Sponsorship Development Managers have the opportunity to sell any level of sponsorship along with tickets and teams to this event. Tickets are $25 each. All our materials are digital and available on our website. If the community you are located in would prefer print fliers we can distribute those to you if needed. All payments are taken via eventbrite.
This is a commission based position, however the rate is significant and opportunity limitless given our industry category.Adventure Ambassadors will earn 20% of all tickets sales and sponsorships that will be paid out every 2 weeks via paypal or direct deposit.
